  17. <p>    By night he is a talking head on PBS's policy powwow, The
  18. MacNeil/Lehrer Report. But from time to time JIM LEHRER is
  19. seized by a strange compulsion and becomes . . . a writer. His
  20. latest effort: The Will and Bart Show, a play depicting two
  21. former Washingtonians sparring on TV news programs. "I had put
  22. my writing halfway on the back burner. But after my heart
  23. attack, I realized, `Hey, I don't know how much longer I have
  24. to live; I have to get on with it." The Will and Bart Show
  25. opened last week at the Williamstown Theater Festival in
  26. Massachusetts, a frequent stop for future hits.
